Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combined with an urge to harm.
Moments of anger can be compared to moment of insanity.
Just as mad people live in a world of their own not minding what people around them think or say about their actions, so also is an angry person.
Anger can burnt what took years to build, anger has killed many relationship, destroyed many families.
Anger is debilitating, it causes ill health. It has never, and can never solve any problem.
As coals are to hot embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man to inflame strife. Proverbs 26:21.
It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than to share a house with a disagreeing, quarrelsome, and scolding woman. Proverbs 25:24.
Angry people don’t make a good partner, neither do they make good parents. Give them any role to play at home, work or church and watch them destroy everything at moments of anger.
A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel. Proverbs 15:18.
This bad emotion has made people loss great opportunities that could have transformed their lives. Many have resigned lucrative jobs only to start living in penury just because of anger. Many have divorced their life partner just because of anger on thrival matters.
A moment of anger denied Moses the opportunity of entering the Canaan land after 40 years of labor. So watch your emotions.
Anger is a work of the flesh and it should be confessed to God and ask for the cleansing and removal by the blood of Jesus. You need a personal relationship with God before you can live a life free of anger.
It is God and self control that curbs anger.
To control your emotions, learn not to react immediately to issues, sit back and analyze issues before acting, by so doing you’re calming yourself down.
Never make a decision when you’re angry, because you may live to regret your actions and decisions.
Don’t be rash in your speech, because words spoken can not be retrieved and it may boomerang.
Do not be quick in spirit to be angry or vexed, for anger and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9
There must be willingness to quit this bad emotions. Tell yourself whosoever angers you conquers you, since you don’t always want to be defeated, that will challenge you to suppress your anger.
If you don’t fight this bad emotion urgently, it will continue to betray you no matter how hard you try to cover it. The worst thing is that you don’t know where and when it is going to betray you, so tackle it now!
Do you even know that nobody wishes to see your anger? Why display it? Make your anger so expensive to get.
More also, your mind tend to bloat issues out of proportion. If only you can learn how to sit back and analyze issues, you will discover that you have no reason to be angry.
Remember, that you harm yourself if not more than the person you are angry against.
Also learn to over look some things.
Anger is not a virtue, so stop nurturing or feeding it. Make a deliberate effort to starve it, what you don’t feed, dies off.
Be a master of your emotions.
The place of prayer can not be underrated, because the Bible says anger dwells in the heart of a fool, tell God to remove that foolish habit from you.
Then maintain a close relationship with God.
