MONSTER: A WAR FOR SURVIVAL

As I lift my bulging head atop
Eyes arrested the eventful sky up
In there, is a black pall of smoked feast
Hasty streaming East.

The birds are hooting
Gathering strength, flying to the nest.
The spirit of the night died next.
It wasn’t that we dreaded it

But at the door, there’s a monster
With an iron star
He’s sniffing the warmth of your breath
Waiting to seize it from beneath
To suck whatever remains in you

Shut your window
Hold your breath to zero
Hush your thought
Listen to the impending footsteps walk
The smell is all-over

He’s on your throat
With bristly tongue, tasting your throat
How long before blood gosh out?
How long before on your blood, you float?

There’s a battle for you
And should, a battle by you
To win you for you.

Corona virus is wrecking the earth
Layer by layer,
shaking the fabrics of the earth.
And until the world wins
Stay safe and fight.
