“KANO IS DEAD”

Come now and see,
Weep bitterly If you can,
The die is cast.
Graves bought without a fee,
Strange cries echoes from the land,
This time, not even a blast.
Kano is Dead!

Come, lets go to the north,
and see for ourselves,
the dead dying death,
And to unnumbered corpse sought.
To die, do they really deserve?
The arrival of the strange bird.

Like basketball scores,
600 breathless beings,
In just few coding hours,
Defying man made laws,
Killing the prince and his father the King,
Without notice, displaying strange Powers.
Kano is Dead!

What is killing Kano,
and her preferred offspring?
Curiosity asked, not I.
How safe is her neighbor Borno?
To COVID-19 not a link,
Before you voice a cry.
Kano is Dead!

Kano will not die alone,
Nor her seed grave-laid,
She may take her sister too.
Kaduna, Katsina may join soon,
To also be laid on this death bed
For just in the morning, they felt the deadly dew.
