The spiritual deity
god of impartial Justice
Hear now my humble plea
And save my community
Like you did in the 60s and 70s
So we can finally be free.

Your very offspring
The innocent maidens
Have been denied access to the water source
The patriarchs now call it their spring
We’ve become their everyday burden
And by force, it became our choice.

Tell me now why we came
To be hosted by this land
With no regards to womanhood?
Who will we put the blame?
Why can’t we also head the clan
And lead men in our neighborhood?

Unmasked this mask
Unveil this veil
Unravel this mystery
Though tough the task
Ring aloud our freedom bell
And change this history.
Oh! Okoyong
Save us from this men menacing mantra
Without favour or fear
Declare our total freedom
Sing it like the song from an Orchestra
And whisper to their ears
Let equality reign in the kingdom.
