This body, full of faults, has yet one great quality: Whatever it encounters in this temporal life depends upon one’s actions.
Your flesh does not have the final decision over you, but your Willpower.
Satan has no flesh, but he’s got a willpower, which made him the inventor of all sins. Yet Jesus with a flesh and Willpower, was able to lead a life without sin. This clearly shows that the body is not our greatest impediment to leading a pious life.
Our willpower is the one responsible for most of our faults, not the weakness of the body that we blame it on.
You’re an addict if you can’t say No to your yourself.
Until you ask God to stamp the image of Jesus in you, the flesh will always have the best of you. Just as you cannot clean yourself without removing your clothes, so also you cannot break up from the flesh, except Jesus does it for you.
