If this is what is expected of a poet,
I will gladly say I am not a poet
And my pen should die a silent pen
If that is what is expected of her to pen.
I am not a poet that feigns to praise
When my pen should lost hopes raise
Nor write to the rhythms of your detect
When my pen should the minor protect.
I am a poet,
That eats a poetic diet
Energising my seven souls
To pen hope to the hopeless souls.
I surf round world oceans
Fishing clear and tainted conscience;
Speaking to the roots of hideous acts
And melting stony hearts to icy hearts.
I speak of nature
And preach her beauty to nurture
Africa is the centre of my ink
As I move motions for positive rethink.
