FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA COMMEND SCHOOLS TO TEACH HISTORY AS A STAND ALONE SUBJECT FROM SEPTEMBER

The Federal Government of Nigeria have urge all public schools in the country to immediately implement the teaching of History as a stand alone subject from next academic Calender.

The directive came through the permanent secretary Federal Ministry of Education Mr. Sonny Echono in Abuja. The federal government had on June 18th this year for its return of History to the school curriculum while ensuring that all primary school teachers are trained to deliver digital literacy.

According to Mr. Sonny Echono, the directive had already been given and it is automatic that all the schools should implement simultaneously. Adding that the ministry had already articulated the curriculum and examinations should be done along those lines.
